My husband, Jonathan, and I have been married for nearly 14 years and have a beautiful 3-year-old daughter, Madison Grace, at home. We live in the southwest Missouri area around Springfield, as do both of our parents and siblings. We enjoy time with our friends and have recently moved to a young neighborhood with many small children, which we love and look forward to watching our children make lasting friendships. Prior to Madison's arrival, we lost our first two children: Caleb Scott was born at 32 weeks in December 2003 and lived about six hours, and Baby August was miscarried in 2004. Since then pregnancy was very difficult, including 9 weeks of bedrest to get Madison's safe arrival.
But, the Lord has been working on us long before our losses...adoption has always been an option for growing our family. Now that Maddie is growing and we are settled in our new community, the timing is finally right to start this very long process. We prayed and the Lord answered our prayer for clear guidance to where and when our Forever Child would be waiting. So, we begin the long 3-year process of bringing a child home from Colombia. Our prayer is that by Christmas 2013 our family will not only include our two babies in heaven, our little miracle baby Madison, but also an amazing boy or girl from this amazing country.
